Eric graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2012. He has a deep fondness for the meticulous lines and elegant colours of Chinese realist Gongbi paintings and had begun painting artworks even when he was studying. Some of his works include a series of sparrows, which questions the way by which the public and city people approach issues. His works often magnify insignificant objects and minify large objects in order to provide a broader view. Eric is currently teaching art for a living and continues drawing during free time.
In this set of paintings, the artist has depicted nine selected views that you can see in the Lo Wai Village, Tsuen Wan. These selected views are not landmarks of the village at all but only some places that inspired the artist a lot in his life everyday. They are records and memories of the artist who has been living in Lo Wai Village since he was born. Even Lo Wai Village has hundred years of history but it seems to be energetic all the time and this is what the artist want to show in his set of work.
