“Design goes beyond self-expression. It is about improvement, about creating new living concepts for people – both physically and spiritually,” says Mr. Justin Cheung, founder of VisualGram Limited. He specialises in designing creative household products. He has created some of the industry’s famous products, including the Pushpin Lamp. Justin was invited to join the Europe Asia Young Leaders Forum by BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt in Prague (2007), and in Seoul (2008). Justin Cheung is studying Master of Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and is an alumnus of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt. His office is located at InnoCentre, Hong Kong.

Pushpin Table Lamp

For this product, I spent three years in preparation while I was still doing graphic design. The Pushpin Table Lamp is not just a lamp; it provides a home or an office with a communication station for peoples. As its name suggests, Pushpin Table Lamp is operated by pushing – the lamp shade itself is a big on/off button. Better still, its cork-surfaced lamp base can actually serve as a memo board, where you can pin up all your messages, memories and ideas. Pushpin Table Lamp was very well-received, and it has becomes the best-selling product among my designs.
