The wheels of time spin on unrelentingly, urban development is always replacing the equipment and apparatus that we have. Every day we have high-rises, railroads, shopping malls being built; changes are always happening.
Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing are somehow different – here we also have village and countryside turning into city “as a matter of course”, but some parts here have retained their unique appearances.
As Hong Kong’s first satellite city in the New Territories, Tsuen Wan is spread over into Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi, yet regardless of how buildings are built reaching up the skies, when one crosses the pedestrian bridge, one can still find many old streets and old shops, and neighbourhood residents are still the heroes of the day, each of them making a livelihood, lighting up every corner of this city.
