Changes do not mean abolishing things. The looks of the Tsuen-Kwai-Tsing district are constantly transforming, the old and the new co-exist, interact and trade places. There is in fact boundless and fully loaded vitality. In this chapter, twelve people of the district are chosen, who came from different walks of life and worked in different fields, but in their own time and place each of them has experienced, participated in, and witnessed the old and new Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing. Listening to them, we could rewind to the old days and see how Tsuen Wan really looked like, and we could also foresee together with them what the future might bring, given the opportunities for development.
