Ho Koon Nature Education
cum Astronomical Centre

Located on Route Twisk, Tsuen Wan, the centre is established by Sik Sik Yuen in 1995. It is the first planetarium in Hong Kong to own a giant telescope and the instrument was the largest in Southeast Asia when the centre began. The centre promotes and encourages students to learn from nature, to appreciate, observe and come into contact with astronomy and the environment, as well as to broaden the scope into many other subjects such as biology and geography. In addition, the centre believes that engaging with nature will widen the perspectives of students, allowing them to obtain knowledge outside of their classrooms and textbooks and will develop their creativity, thinking and courage. Another main objective of the centre is to promote the education for sustainable development.
